Eskenazi Health Volunteer Services is dedicated to enhancing the patient experience, augmenting the services of staff and promoting community involvement. Eskenazi Health currently has more than 300 compassionate volunteers coming from all over the Greater Indianapolis community. Eskenazi Health volunteers are recognized as important members of our health care team and play a vital role in fulfilling the hospital’s mission to advocate, care, teach and serve all people in the community, with a special emphasis on vulnerable populations. Application process

Be at least 18 years old; Agree to volunteer a minimum of 100 hours over the course of your volunteer service; Interview with a member of the Volunteer Services team; Complete the online application and orientation process. The application is the same one used for job applications. You will need to login and choose "volunteer services" under "select job category." Then complete the application; Pass a criminal background check; Provide proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), and immunization or immunity for chickenpox (varicella); Receive a two-step TB screening and an annual tuberculosis (TB) screening; Receive an annual flu vaccination; Complete any additional training your placement may require.
