An independent directory that helps people find hospital and healthcare volunteer programmes near them.
HospitalVolunteer.net is a searchable directory of hospitals and healthcare organisations across the United States, together with what we know about their volunteer programmes. You can search by ZIP code, city or state, or browse by state and county, and each listing points you toward that organisation's own volunteer information.
We are a signpost, not an application system. Volunteering is arranged directly between you and the hospital.
Around 6,400 published listings covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and US territories. A listing typically holds the organisation's name, location and phone number, and — where we have it — volunteer contact details, a description of the programme and a link to the organisation's volunteer page.
Coverage is uneven. Some listings are detailed; many hold little more than the basics. We would rather show you a sparse listing with a phone number than pretend to know more than we do.
Records come from a mix of historical datasets, submissions from hospitals and the public, publicly available information, and our own corrections. We run automated checks on the volunteer web addresses we hold, and where a link no longer works we stop presenting it as a way to volunteer and say the information needs updating instead.

Being direct about the limits is more useful than a confident directory that is quietly wrong:
Confirm current requirements with the organisation before relying on them — eligibility, screening, vaccination, age limits and time commitments are all set by the hospital, not by us. See Terms & Disclaimer.
