Volunteer details

If you would like to volunteer your precious time at our hospital and with our patients, we thank you in advance. For over six decades, Orange County Global Medical Center has had a renowned volunteer program. Currently, we hold over 200 volunteers, and together, they serve approximately 35,000 hours a year to our medical center.

Junior Volunteers, Collegiate Volunteers, Auxiliary Volunteers

Application process

Orientations for prospective volunteers are held four times a year. We do everything we can to make sure our volunteers feel welcome, prepared, and excited to provide their time to our hospital. Each session is only four hours long and is followed by at least two on-the-job shifts of training by another volunteer or staff member. After a volunteer has completed orientation and training satisfactorily, he or she works at least one 4-hour shift every week.
