Volunteers contribute countless hours of service each year to Vernon Memorial Healthcare. More than 180 students and adults, ages 14 and older, volunteer in virtually every department or service area.Volunteers are required to complete an application, health history & TB screening, criminal background check interview, general orientation, and specific training prior to volunteering. Volunteers receive recognition for their services and are invited to participate in social events and educational programs. Our volunteers are men and women from all walks of life…retirees, homemakers, business professionals, college and high school students. Prospective volunteers are offered and encouraged to take the opportunity to shadow current volunteers in one or more areas prior to accepting a position.
