The volunteer program at Valley General Hospital produces close to 10,000 hours of community service each year.By becoming a volunteer at Valley General, you commit to 50 hours of service a year, which are set in four hour shifts or approximately one half day a week. You will gain these hours by volunteering in a variety of positions such as: assisting staff on the medical surgical unit, greeting visitors in the lobby, providing basic office assistance and assisting in the hospital gift shop.Students (both college and high school) have found volunteering to be ideal when used as an introduction for those interested in careers in the medical field.
