Our volunteers help continue UT Southwestern’s tradition of caring service and assistance to our patients, guests and staff. We offer challenging and rewarding opportunities to help others and grow as individuals. Whatever the volunteer’s interest, we can help find an area in which he or she will make a difference.Hospital volunteer duties are primarily clerical and customer service in nature. There are weekday, evening and weekend positions available. Most volunteers work once a week for a three to four hour shift. Adult volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment. College students are asked to make a two-semester or 100-hour commitment.
