Regional Medical Center's Auxiliary, which includes adult and junior volunteers (teens to seniors), represents a large cross section of the community. Volunteers operate the gift shop and assist in more than 30 departments. Their smiling faces add cheer and warmth as they deliver all hospital mail and flowers to patients; greet and assist at the information desks in admitting/registration, emergency department, same-day surgery and the main visitors’ lobby; serve as patient/visitor liaisons in cooperation with the customer service department; offer clerical and secretarial assistance to various departments; provide 'Cuddle Care' nursery service; provide a courier service for the cancer treatment center; and lend a helping hand in many other ways.
