There are several programs and ways you can participate in helping Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital fulfill its commitment to the community. Prospective volunteers must complete an application form and pass a background check and obtain a health clearance. Volunteers interview individually with the In-service chair, and if selected attend an orientation, at which time you will tour all of the departments of the hospital. Volunteers are placed into specific work areas and are given regularly scheduled shifts. Volunteer placements are based on availability and appropriateness of the applicant to the volunteer program. Volunteers are expected to work their assigned shifts and can be dismissed for excessive absenteeism. Our service-based programs help meet the needs of patients, families and staff. Our services are not a job-training program or an internship, nor do we provide medical shadowing. We do not accept court-ordered placements.
