St. Vincent Volunteers are a gift to our healing Mission and a generous witness to the people served by their kindness and generosity. Our volunteers serve a variety of roles, from delivering patient mail to giving directions at the Information Desk to stuffing envelopes to driving shuttles in the parking lot and many other volunteer services that enhance the St. Vincent Experience. 1. Complete online application or access a printed application and mail to the Volunteer Services office. 2. Interview with Volunteer Services Manager 3. Background Check - A confidential background check is requested by the Volunteer Services Manager. 4. Health Screening - Proof of two negative TB tests prior to volunteering. St. Vincent will provide this free of charge; Proof of immunity to Chicken Pox, Measles, Rubella and Rubeola. St. Vincent will provide the test free of charge if the immunization record is unavailable. 5. Hospital and Department Orientation provided upon acceptance into the program. 6. Service Hours Commitment - We are committed providing each volunteer with the background and training needed to make the volunteer experience a successful and rewarding one. Because of this commitment, hospital volunteers should be willing to volunteer a minimum of 50 hours annually.
