At St. Joseph Hospital, volunteers are an important part of our healthcare team. Our volunteers are an extension of our hospital staff and provide valuable services that helps us maintain the quality of care you expect from St. Joseph Hospital. To ensure that we have secured the right opportunities for the right people, we are committed to matching the skills and talents of prospective volunteers to the needs of the hospital. Please be aware that this is a selective process; we are unable to accept every applicant. Application process

Adult application process: Submit application and two references; Schedule an interview with Volunteer Services; Undergo a criminal background check; Complete two-part TB test; Vaccination history review; Attend volunteer orientation. Junior application process: Each summer, St. Joseph Hospital invites teens to experience the world of healthcare as junior volunteers. Our Junior Volunteer program lasts for five weeks and is open to students who are between the ages of 14 and 17. Application packets are available beginning March 1 and accepted no later than April 30.
