Volunteer details

Volunteering at Mercy Hospital provides a wonderful service to our patients, families and community. We continually seek dedicated and passionate volunteers who are willing to give of their time and talents to make Mercy the best it can be. As a volunteer, you’ll be part of a group of compassionate individuals committed to carrying on the traditions of Mercy Hospital. Your support will help our health care professionals provide excellent service to our patients. As a volunteer, you may serve in many different patient care, administrative and ancillary areas. Volunteers are present in almost every area of the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ICU waiting rooms, Information Desks, Mercy Children's Hospital, NICU, Burn Unit, Mercy Heart and Vascular Hospital, David C. Pratt Cancer Center, the Gift Shop and Mercy off-site locations. Volunteer opportunities include everything from greeting visitors, cuddling a little one in the NICU, praying with patients, assisting our health care team on patient care units or volunteering in the Mercy Gift Shop. Volunteering at Mercy Hospital is a unique and rewarding opportunity. In addition to the satisfaction of making a difference, volunteers are invited to an appreciation luncheon and brunch each year and have the same discounts as Mercy co-workers. Mercy volunteers are also given a $5 meal card each day to use in the cafeteria, Smoothie Bar or Coffee Shop.
