Volunteers help to improve the quality of care provided by the staff at St. John's. They contribute many extra services and spend quality time with patients, residents, and families. A St. John's Volunteer is a 'healing presence' who provides hope and support during troubled times and makes no demands on the patient. They are able to focus on the person and not the illness or the injury.At St. John's Medical Center we have a special place for men and women and offer a variety of volunteer service areas including the living center, primary care unit, information desk, and acting as a Lay Chaplain.
