Volunteer details

Volunteers are an important part of the "health care team" at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. They provide an extra dimension of care and services to patients, empathy and assistance to families and visitors and support for staff. Each year over 800 volunteers - men, women, high school and college students - share their time and talents and make a difference. Some volunteers work five days a week, most volunteer one or two days a week and some assist at special events or respond to special needs. Volunteer opportunities are available at the Saint Francis Campus, the Mount Sinai Campus Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital and other sites that are part of the Saint Francis system. Volunteers work in many different areas of the Hospital. Every attempt is made to match a volunteer’s interests, skills, and availability with Hospital needs.
