Volunteers are an important part of our medical center and we welcome your application. We truly believe our volunteers make a difference in the lives of our patients, their families and even our staff. Volunteers are a special breed. They are people of all ages and walks of life who, for a myriad of reasons, offer their time and energy in the service of others. Volunteers step forward and carry out their assignments and touch the lives of those they serve in many positive ways. Their personal rewards are intangible. SCH volunteers play an important role in our efforts to fulfill our mission and in the healthcare we provide. As a volunteer, your efforts benefit the hospital in continuing our commitment to excellence while providing you with the personal satisfaction of contributing to the welfare of those in need. For more information about volunteer opportunities at this hospital, visit the St Claire Regional Medical Center volunteer website.

The health screening includes a two-step TB skin test and urine drug screening. All volunteers are required to complete hospital safety training as well before they receive a volunteer placement and volunteer badge. Some volunteers assigned to specific departments will participate in a departmental orientation as well.
