We are called the 'Pink Ladies' as we wear pink colored jackets when volunteering.We deliver mail and flowers to the patients and provide 'welcome' gifts for new babies. We create holiday cards that are given to patients with their meal trays. The hospital also has a lot of paper that needs to be shredded each day and that can keep us busy.We currently have 21 regular and 6 substitute volunteers but are always in need of new members so we can keep the time slots filled. We try to keep the front desk staffed M-F, 9-11 a.m. and 2 hr. shifts between 1 and 5 p.m. For more information about volunteer opportunities at this hospital, visit the Scott County Hospital volunteer website.
