Providence Portland Medical Center's volunteers serve 45 different departments within the hospital, with more than 60 different jobs. Jobs range from gift shop clerk, eucharistic minister, special projects, to nursing support. Volunteers typically work a four hour shift, one day per week. Adult volunteers are asked to make a six month commitment, and student or teen volunteers are asked to make a three month commitment.
