Volunteers are an integral part of Providence Holy Cross Medical Center. Our volunteers provide encouragement, comfort and strength to our patients and visitors. Helping others in their healing process can be a very satisfying and inspiring experience. Our Providence volunteers often make new friends and learn new skills along the way. Offer your time and talents and reap the rewards of serving our community and being appreciated. We have over 300 volunteers ranging in age from 15 to over 80. Our volunteer opportunities are varied and interesting.

Application process

Prospective volunteers must submit an application, have a personal interview with the Volunteer office, complete all paperwork in the Application Packet, receive a TB health clearance from our Employee Health Office, complete Medical Center Orientation and have a cleared background check if over the age of 18. In the case of college students or working volunteers this may mean missing a day of classes or work. You will be credited with service hours for attending Orientation. The preliminary process takes approximately 6-8 weeks before you can begin volunteering.
