Volunteer details

Volunteers assist residents in a variety of ways such as visiting, reading, writing letters, providing entertainment and working on crafts or projects. Volunteers improve the quality of life for everyone. In addition, we have an Auxiliary that runs our Gift Shop and is always looking for members to help with the gift shop, fund raising and other events that benefit the residents.

Application process

Application packet includes: Application for Volunteering - to be completed by everyone 14+ years; Volunteer Agreement - to be completed by everyone 14+ years; Alaska Background Check Application - to be completed by all prospective volunteers 16 years and over. This form is submitted to the State of Alaska. Note: The required Demographic Information must be data which is identical on your current state driver's license, or state I.D.; Release of Information Authorization for Background Check - to be completed by all prospective volunteers 16 years and over. Please complete carefully and completely; this information is submitted to the State Of Alaska.
