Providence volunteers contribute their skills and time by managing the desk in the intensive care unit, assisting in the emergency department, serving in patient care areas, participating in special projects and, through No One Die Alone, providing companionship at life’s end. In addition, PAMC volunteer therapy dog teams offer animal-assisted wellness services to patients, families and caregivers through our PAWS program. With a wide variety of volunteer positions to choose from, volunteers are sure to find rewarding and life-enriching experiences here at Providence. Applications accepted: January 15 - May 15 and August 15 - October 15. Volunteers are asked to make a minimum commitment of 100 hours over a 6-month period. Some departments require a 12-month commitment and a pre-interview. Assignments are once or twice weekly the same day and time for 2-4 hours.
