The volunteers of Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center provide service to over 40 different Medical Center departments and clinics. We have many interesting and rewarding volunteer positions to meet the needs of our diverse group of volunteers in both clinical and non-clinical areas. Admitting/ Patient Registration; Cancer Care; Concierge/Reception; Emergency Department; Food & Nutrition; Imaging; Nurse Volunteer; Patient Visiting; Pet Therapy; Special Events; Spiritual Care; Surgical Services; Various Clerical Positions

Application process

Please fill out a Volunteer Interest Form & return to the Volunteer Services Department in person or by email to shannon.jermal@presencehealth.org. If we find that your volunteer interests match our needs, we will call you to schedule an interview & registration appointment. We will keep your form on file for 3 months. All volunteers are required to complete necessary registration paperwork, two letters of recommendation, an interview and an orientation session prior to starting service at the Medical Center. All volunteers will need approval of their primary care physician to volunteer as well as two TB skin tests (performed free of charge by Associate Health Services upon starting service). In addition, all adult volunteers (18 years & older) will need to complete a request for a criminal background check. Teen volunteers (under 18 years) will need to present a completed parental consent form prior to orientation.
