PPRH welcomes the active participation of citizens within our community. We accept and encourage the involvement of volunteers at all levels of the agency and within all appropriate programs and activities (age 18 and older). PPRH volunteers assist staff in providing directions to guests and visitors, information and support to patients, patients’ families and visitors, and encourages volunteers to have direct contact with patients who are interested in engaging in conversations or activities. Volunteers may assist PPRH staff in stocking of supplies, delivering flowers and may lend a hand from time to time with clerical duties. Volunteers typically work shifts during weekdays only. However, the amount of hours spent volunteering may vary depending upon the desires and availability of each individual. PPRH is grateful for any amount of time that a volunteer is willing to give. For more information about volunteer opportunities at this hospital, visit the Pikes Peak Regional Hospital volunteer website.
It is easy to be a volunteer at PPRH. Simply contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 719.687.9999 and request information and an application. Following completion of the application, volunteers are subject to a background check, TB Test and Flu Shot (season). Upon successful outcome, each volunteer will attend a brief orientation regarding hospital policies, procedures and life safety codes.
