Volunteer details

Whether escorting patients to their destination, providing clerical assistance, or helping in the emergency department, volunteers are a respected part of Oconee Medical Center. We invite you to join our diverse team of energetic, dedicated, and compassionate volunteers.Volunteers typically work a regularly scheduled 3 to 4-hour daytime shift once or twice a week (Monday-Sunday). All volunteers are required to attend a hospital orientation class, undergo a criminal background check, have an annual Tuberculosis test, and wear a uniform. Adult volunteers are asked to make at least a six month commitment to volunteer service.
