The need is great and the rewards even greater. North Arkansas Regional Medical Center Volunteers provide an opportunity to serve, grow, learn, make new friends, exchange ideas, and feel needed. North Arkansas Regional Medical Center has dozens of volunteers who contributed over 29,000 hours during the past fiscal year. Our Volunteers staff our Information Desks, operate Nightingale's Gift Shop and a Thrift Shop, and work in other hospital departments, including Claude Parrish Radiation Therapy Institute, surgical hostess, hospice, purchasing, medical records and the Comfort Cart. Proceeds from the Gift Shop and the Thrift Shop are donated to the hospital. Funds are used to purchase new medical equipment and to support projects such as the making of booties and turbans for our newborn infants, immunization records, scholarships, and health screenings. Application process

To become a Volunteer, you need to call the Volunteer Office (870-414-4622) to request an application or you can print the Volunteer Application out and mail it on or bring it by. Once we receive your application, we will call you to set up a time for an interview. During the interview, we will discuss your interest in volunteering and what position and schedule would be best for you. At this time, we will also schedule you to attend the hospital safety and customer service orientation sessions and to have a TB skin test. Our Volunteers take pride in their work and are committed to be valuable members of the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center health care team.
