Newman Regional Health is grateful for the energetic volunteers in our Auxiliary. Founded in 1955, this group of men and women provide a variety of valuable services. Working beside our highly skilled hospital staff, these devoted volunteers donate their time and energy to make our patients’ stay as pleasant as possible. Their smiling faces greet visitors, all the while making everyone feel welcome. Auxiliary members provide many of the optional services for our patients’ convenience and comfort. The majority of funds they raise are brought in through the Auxiliary’s Gift Shoppe and Snack Bar and are used for purchasing equipment and facilities that otherwise would not be provided by the hospital. In addition to the support offered to the hospital, the Auxiliary also provides several healthcare scholarships every year to area students furthering their education in a healthcare field.
