Volunteers at Nemours Children's Hospital are a valued part of the care team. We encourage individuals who meet the requirements to apply for volunteer positions at our hospital. Many of our volunteers work directly with patients and their families. Others choose to work behind the scenes. Our hospital is fortunate to be located in a community filled with caring people eager to help the children and families who visit Nemours. Application process

All volunteers must: contact Volunteer Services to submit an inquiry; complete and submit the online Nemours Volunteer Application; participate in an information session an interview with Volunteer Services; complete health screening process, including: tuberculosis test; a blood titer (blood test) proving immunity to measles, mumps, rubella and chicken pox; a urine drug screening; a flu vaccine during flu season; complete background screening process, including: two personal references; a signature to grant permission for background check; complete a four-hour orientation process; make a six-month commitment to volunteer once a week for a four-hour shift; complete department training once volunteer position has been assigned
