Our volunteers and auxilians actively assist patients, their families, visitors, staff and the entire community by performing work that complements and enhances the services offered at Milford Hospital. Guest Escort; Clerical Volunteer (Various Deparments); Receptionist - (Main Information Desk and Emergency Department); Enchanted Window Gift Shop Volunteer; Dietary Services / Menu Volunteer; Diagnostic and Treatment Center Receptionist; Surgi-Center Ambassador; Surgi Center Aide; Emergency Department Aide; Walk In Center Aide (off site); Patient Representative; Reiki Volunteer; Tender Touch volunteer

Application process

Complete the application and background check form; List two (unrelated) references; Interview with a member of the Volunteer Services staff; Attend a 3 ½ hour Volunteer Orientation (scheduled monthly); Complete the two-step PPD (TB) test administered at no-charge by our Diagnostic and Treatment Center; Health clearance form completed by your physician; Be available to train and / or shadow with a current volunteer or staff member. Most positions require 3 training sessions (approximately 9 to 12 hours); Commit to volunteering for a minimum of six-months
