Volunteer details

In 2009, more than 1,500 community members volunteered at Methodist, donating more than 175,000 hours of service — for everything from greeting people at the door to helping in the emergency department, working in the hospital gift shop to delivering flowers and mail to patients.At Methodist Health System, volunteers help with a wide variety of tasks at our hospitals. Opportunities to serve include:
* Greeting and escorting patients and visitors
* Helping patients with meals
* Sharing office or computer skills
* Assisting in the emergency department
* Supporting families in waiting rooms
* Delivering flowers,mails and meals to patients
* Helping in the hospital gift shop
* Serving as a Cuddler in the Neonatal ICU at Methodist Dallas
