Founded in 1951 as part of the Women’s Improvement Association to serve the first Memorial General Hospital on Alameda Street, the current membership of over 200 Auxilians contributes over 45,000 volunteer hours annually in 32 hospital departments; members also conduct hospital tours and serve on the bi-monthly blood drive committee.
