Lawrence Health Services is looking for volunteers with a positive attitude, a sincere interest in the hospital and a genuine concern for patients and families. Anyone 18 or older is welcome to join the Auxiliary. The volunteers are a gifted group of people. Some help in the nursing home with games, social activities and events. Some provide help in the different departments, such as the dietary department, or in the offices. Volunteers are given a schedule that is flexible and designed for the individual’s interest. LHS volunteers are very special people. The Auxiliary is a vital part of our organization in that they host a variety of annual fundraisers. Twice a year Golden Rule comes into the facility to provide a fine quality jewelry sale with the largest selection at competitive prices. Employees and residents of Lawrence County benefit from the selections, and the Auxiliary benefits from the sales. A summer book sale is co-hosted by Books Are Fun and the Auxiliary. A variety of best sellers, household items and toys are discounted for the community sale.
