Volunteering is a long time tradition at Kuakini. Volunteers give a little of themselves and time to help others in need. Become a Kuakini volunteer! Kuakini has over 400 active volunteers each year including high school students, college students, working adults and senior retirees. Volunteers assist Health System employees, providing acute care, long-term care, geriatric care and ambulatory care services. Duties range from clerical support to companionship activities with nursing home residents and assisting hospital patients in the Medical Center. Volunteers also assist with hospital tours for visitors. Whether there is interest in volunteering as an individual or with a group, Kuakini welcomes all interested persons to join the Volunteer Program. Call Volunteer Services at (808) 547-9184 to schedule an interview. At the interview, an application form will be provided for completion to obtain more information on the applicant and to determine potential assignments to available volunteer opportunities.
