A volunteer is often the first person a visitor or patient encounters at the hospital and are a much-needed friendly face to ease the anxiety that can accompany a hospital stay.Fifty-three men and women volunteer in the various service areas throughout the hospital: The Information Desk, Snack Bar, Gift Shop and the Intensive Care Unit/Operating Room waiting area.
