Founded by two UCLA physicians 1970, volunteers have been the cornerstone of the Venice Family Clinic since its inception. Today, the Clinic’s community of volunteers has grown to nearly 2,000 people - including more a wide variety of physicians, specialists, and other medical providers - whose in-kind donation of time is valued at over $2 million annually. The Volunteer Services Department offers a variety of opportunities to get involved in nearly every aspect of the Clinic’s operations. We match the interest and experience of our volunteers with the Clinic’s needs and priorities in administration, fundraising, medical, and social services. Regardless of how you choose to get involved, your effort helps extend the reach of the nation’s largest free medical clinic to the underserved in Los Angeles County. For more information about volunteer opportunities at this hospital, visit the Irma Colen Health Center volunteer website.
