At JCHCA, volunteers expand the capabilities of physicians, nurses and staff. The information desk and gift shop are completely managed by volunteers, each of whom has committed to four-hour shifts either in the morning or afternoon. Throughout the year, JCHCA volunteers also host numerous fundraising events to benefit the medical center. Funds from the fundraiser events make it possible to purchase new ambulances and other necessary equipment. Application process

Individuals interested in volunteering must complete an application and undergo drug and tuberculosis skin testing. Candidates should be prepared to supply background information and a personal reference.
