Volunteer details

Van Diest Medical Center volunteers - both men and women - assist with patient care and amenities, or volunteer in a specific department of the hospital to help with a variety of tasks. The Volunteer Greeter program was established in the new VDMC facility in September 2010. Volunteers staff the information desks at each entrance and welcome patients, families and visitors upon their arrival, and help direct or escort them to their destination. They strive to offer a warm, welcoming and helpful environment. Volunteers also help in various departments with special tasks such as filing, preparing mailings, making copies, computer data entry, or other projects as requested. Our volunteers are an essential part of our service at Van Diest Medical Center.
