The Volunteer Association is a diverse group of men and women who support the mission of Fairmont General Hospital by providing voluntary services to patients and staff of the hospital, funds for purchase of equipment and other items that provide quality care, and opportunities to learn about the services and needs of the hospital and to communicate these to the community.There are currently nine volunteer placements available: patient transport, surgical services information desk, book mobile, courier, gift shop clerk, patient mail distribution, blood testing and staffing of two information centers in the hospital lobbies.
