Members of the Evanston Regional Hospital Volunteer program as well as our Auxiliary program, the We Care Volunteers, play an important and impressive role in the care and services provided by the hospital. Our regular Volunteer program runs the gift shop, assists patients on Med/Surg with a library of books and periodicals, runs the volunteer desk, and assists managers with tasks.With their own by-laws as a Volunteer Auxiliary, the We Care Volunteers raises money to hand out teddy bears to small children who come through as patients in the hospital, as well as for scholarships, and equipment and supplies for the hospital.
