Decatur County Memorial Hospital utilizes volunteer help for a number of causes and projects. These gifts of time allow us to serve our patients and community in a more personal and professional manner and enables us to offer the quality care you want close by! Volunteers may help with special projects or even within one of our departments such as marketing where special events are planned and promoted. The Hospital Auxiliary provides a volunteer pool and fund raising element for Decatur County Memorial Hospital. The organization actively encourages the involvement of new volunteers to assist with the many needs of DCMH. Some volunteers staff the information desks; some provide transport assistance in the facility, and others staff the Auxiliary gift shop. Sales from the gift shop benefit the hospital and help the group raise funds for equipment needs at DCMH.
