Volunteers are an important part of the healing that happens at Cook Children’s.They serve in 60 different placements throughout the medical center including surgery, radiology, child life, registration, outpatient specialty and community clinics, and at locations throughout Tarrant County.Directing visitors, reading books, playing in the playrooms, comforting little ones, educating parents about car safety and helping in the gift shop are just a few ways our volunteers care for patients and families, making a challenging sometimes overwhelming experience better.
