Community Hospital of San Bernardino offers a variety of opportunities for individuals who wish to volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to contribute to the community, gain experience working in a hospital setting, and make a difference in the lives of others. Whether you are a high school or college student, are recently retired, or someone who just has spare time and wants to do something fulfilling, we have an opportunity for you. Former hospital Administrator Virginia Henderson started the hospital’s first group of Auxiliary volunteers in 1958. The Auxiliary began a rich legacy of volunteering at Community Hospital of San Bernardino. Today our hospital benefits from the assistance of two groups of volunteers; the Stepping Stones volunteer program which is designed for high school and college students, and the K.A.R.E. Team which is comprised of adult (non-student) volunteers. Volunteers have a direct positive impact on the experience or our patients and staff. Therefore, we are always looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our volunteer family and make a difference in the lives of others. For more information about volunteer opportunities at this hospital, visit the Community Hospital Of San Bernardino volunteer website.
