By joining our dynamic community of volunteers, you can be a valuable part of the patient care experience at City of Hope's main medical center in Duarte, California, or take a hand in our nationwide fundraising efforts. Volunteers help create a compassionate environment for patients, caregivers and guests. Our volunteers hail from all backgrounds and ages, from 15 to 91. Together, they keep nearly 80 services humming along by contributing shifts each week of three to four hours, working between 6:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. They gain new skills while contributing their own experience and expertise to our mission...as well as their winning smiles and selfless enthusiasm. Application process

Applicants complete a online volunteer application. Within a few weeks of applying online, you’ll receive an application packet to complete. Once you have completed and mailed back your application, you will need to arrange for an interview.
