Volunteer details

Since the hospital opened in 1957, Citrus Memorial volunteers have promoted and advanced the welfare of the patients, family and staff of the hospital. Starting with only a handful of ladies, the volunteer base has now grown to over 500 members, students and pastors. Our volunteers serve at many locations including the main hospital, medical office building, and Genesis Women's Center. These altruists can be spotted throughout 40 departments, most visibly at the Welcome Desk, Gift Shop and as waiting room hosts and hostesses. Most of our volunteers contribute one four-hour shift per week and help us to raise funds for charitable donations..
