At Carilion New River Valley Medical Center, our volunteers are part of the healthcare team that performs a vital service for their friends, family and others in need of care.Volunteers act as host in major waiting areas of the hospital, providing contact with medical staff, provide room information and directions at front desk, escort visitors throughout the facility, deliver cards and flowers, offer fresh coffee in the entrance foyer, deliver newspapers, assist staff and other services essential to the comfort of the guests of Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
