Today, we have nearly 100 men and women who are a part of our Auxiliary – donating their time and talents to continue the intent of the original founders: to serve the hospital. This is done through a variety of services provided by the Auxiliary, including sponsorship of the annual John Harden Scholarship, monetary contributions for building campaigns and equipment purchases, the operation of a gift and coffee shop for the convenience of visitors, patients and employees and planning fundraisers like bake sales and the annual golf tournament.Our volunteers are very valuable at Cannon and we want to reward their efforts with benefits. Each volunteer receives a free meal each time they work at the hospital, free flu shots each year, a free mammogram (for women) and PSA screening (for men) and free fitness classes.
