Volunteers enhance the quality of clinical and support services provided at Brook Lane. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities, some with direct client contact and others with minimal or no contact with clients. For more information about volunteer opportunities at this hospital, visit the Brook Lane volunteer website.

Our volunteers go through an orientation process to increase their understanding of our work with those with emotional and/or behavioral challenges. Training times vary depending on the volunteer position. All volunteers who will have direct contact with clients must have a fingerprint background check (both state and federal), two tuberculosis skin tests done 30 days apart, and sign a confidentiality agreement. Fingerprinting and tuberculosis tests are done at Brook Lane’s expense.
