The benefit of volunteering at Blake Medical Center is a two-way street. Current research indicates that volunteering is good for your health! People who volunteer live longer, function better, and have lower rates of depression. For senior volunteers the results are even more dramatic. Our volunteers are dedicated to providing support to the professional staff, and quality care to our patient clients. Based on individual skills and interests, our volunteers are placed in one of 40+ Departments. Nursing Units, Information Desk, Gift Shop, Escort, and Golf Cart transport are just a few areas where our volunteers are needed.
