For many years, volunteers have provided a variety of services throughout Berkshire Medical Center. All of our work supports the mission of Berkshire Medical Center, which is to improve the health of our community. Volunteering is a component of a strong and healthy community. We hope that you will join us to contribute to the well-being and health of our community. We hope that you will take some time to learn more about our program and find a match for your talents and time. Our goal is to assist you in finding a volunteer placement here at Berkshire Medical Center that you will enjoy.

Patient Escort and/or Greeter; Pastoral Care; Patient Relations; Clerical; Pet Therapy; Information Desk; Guest Relations in Waiting Areas; Visiting Patients; Music

Application process

Applicants must be at least 14 years of age. Applicants must be able to volunteer a minimum of 4 hours per week for 3 months (less for summer program for students). Applicants must complete an application and an interview with Volunteer Services staff. Upon acceptance into the program, applicants must: Attend education session on Safety and Confidentiality; Have a tuberculosis (PPD) test; Attend Volunteer Orientation and department specific training; Have a Criminal Background Check; Have a Flu Vaccination or Signed Flu Vaccination Waiver
