The over ninety volunteers at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital all share a common goal. Their concern for others leads them to use their life experiences, educations and skills to support patients, staff and visitors in an exemplary manner. Thousands of hours are donated to the hospital each year where they serve in variety of places. The Emergency Department, Main Lobby Desk, patient care areas and administratively are some of the areas that the Arroyo Grande Community Hospital volunteers in. We also have "volunteen" youth from the ages of 14 - 18 that assist the staff and patients in a variety of ways. Arroyo Grande Community Hospital volunteers come from every area of southern San Luis Obispo County and they represent all ages and walks of life. Patient satisfaction is our number one goal and our volunteers work hard to contribute to the comfort and care of our patients, visitors and staff. We were also proud to add Pet Therapy services for our patients with our volunteers that have gone through the training.
